ReSound LiNX Trial - UK Launch - For Free Demo Call 0203 397 9787 UK Coverage

My colleagues and I are excited due to today's launch of the ReSound LiNX "Made For iPhone" MFi hearing aid. Only two industry leaders like Apple and GN ReSound could have pulled off such a feat - seamlessly connecting an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with hearing aids without the need for any wires, headset or intermediate wireless streamer. That's right! You can now stream music, handsfree calls, or the soundtrack of your favourite movie from your iPhone directly to your hearing aids - as long as you are wearing a pair of ReSound LiNX, that is.

ReSound LiNX Features

Let's recap on what you can do with your ReSound LiNX:

ReSound LiNX Hearing Aids - The Latest

ReSound are launching their LiNX hearing aids across this evening and tomorrow morning in the UK. Why is there all this excitement about a hearing aid?

Made For iPhone

The ReSound LiNX is the first Made For iPhone, or MFi, hearing aid. It allows you to connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch directly to your hearing aid and listen to music, take a handsfree phone call, have a Facetime video call, or watch your favourite movie, all with the sound going wirelessly into your ears. There's no need for a separate bluetooth headset or intermediate necklace to go between the iPhone and the LiNX.

ReSound SMART App

Not only that, but with the SMART App, available from the App Store, allows you to adjust the volume and tone, and will even remember your favourite settings in different places using geo-tagging. For instance, when you go to your favourite restaurant or cafe, you might like to switch to the party setting, boost the treble and turn up the volume, but when you go to concerts at the Albert Hall, you might prefer the music setting, with the bass turned up and the volume turned down. The key is, that rather than having to wait for your Audiologist to adjust them for you, you can adjust your ReSound LiNX hearing aids to sound exactly the way you like.

Effective Invisible Tinnitus Treatment With The Starkey Soundlens

Soundlens Invisible Hearing Aid Banishes Tinnitus

Richard has been a client of mine since May, and we had a follow-up appointment on Friday morning.

Richard's quite young, still working age, but has a mild to moderate hearing loss in both ear. This was making it difficult for Richard to participate socially and at work, and to enjoy music. One other problem that Richard was experiencing as a result of his hearing loss was tinnitus.

New Tinnitus Treatments 2014

What effective new tinnitus treatments are there in 2014?

Prospective patients and sometimes their loved ones often ask me if there have been any effective new tinnitus treatments discovered in 2013, or even if there is a cure for tinnitus yet.

I have to say that 2013 has been a good year for new developments in tinnitus treatment. We have some good evidence on the effectiveness of existing treatments, and some very exciiting new developments that have emerged out of research within the last few years from the University of California.
